What’s inside the guide

Diving Atlas Anilao and Puerto Galera

Anilao is the name of the diving coast of the municipality of Mabini in Batangas, its bases line up on the west coast of the Calumpan Peninsula towards Balayan Bay. From Manila you drive there via SLEX and STAR Tollway, then take the bangkas of the bases to spots like Cathedral and Secret Bay. Puerto Galera lies opposite at the northern tip of Mindoro and has been a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1977. A ferry or water taxi from Batangas will take you there, and from Sabang Beach you can reach most spots in ten minutes by boat. Between the two coasts lies the Verde Island Passage.

Here you dive from a base, with a day boat or at the house reef. Instead of entry and parking, each portrait mentions the harbor and the boat ride time. In the weekly schedule of a base, you can see how a diving week is organized. In the accommodations section, the band compares which base and which house reef belong to a house. Restaurants and excursions for non-diving days are listed with a map link in the band, as well as the transfer from the airport and the chapter on emergencies and the hyperbaric chamber.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.

Questions about the booklet “Diving Atlas Anilao and Puerto Galera”

Wo taucht man in Puerto Galera?
