Diving in Costa Rica
In Germany, Lufthansa operates a direct flight from Frankfurt to Juan Santamaría Airport near San José. The safari boats to Isla del Coco pick up their guests at hotels in San José and take them by bus to Puntarenas, so you arrive one day before departure. To Drake Bay, you fly with a small domestic airline or take a boat from Sierpe through the mangroves. Overnight stays are not allowed on Isla del Caño.
