Diving in the Azores
You can find dive bases on Faial in Horta, on Pico in Madalena and Lajes do Pico, and on Santa Maria mainly in Vila do Porto. Ships from Atlânticoline sail between Faial, Pico and São Jorge, departing from Horta on Faial and Madalena on Pico. For the blue sharks and the Princess Alice Bank, a base in Madalena, Advanced Open Water certification, at least 50 logged dives, and a check dive with them are required.
