What’s inside the guide

Vietnam Diving Atlas

In Vietnam, each diving area has its own season. In Nha Trang Bay, day boats run all year round, except that the core zone around Hon Mun Island is closed to divers. Further north on Whale Island, you can dive from the beach from late February to October. Near Hoi An, boats run from February to mid-October to the Cham Islands, which together with Hoi An form a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In Con Dao National Park, you can see sea turtles, preferably from March to September. On Phu Quoc in the Gulf of Thailand, you can dive from October to April; most sites are located in the archipelago south of An Thoi.

Here, you dive from a base, on a day boat, or at the house reef. Instead of entry and parking, each profile lists the port and the boat ride. The base's weekly schedule shows you how a diving week is organized. In the accommodation section, the banner shows which base and house reef belong to which guesthouse. Restaurants and excursions for non-diving days are listed with a map link, along with airport transfers and the chapter on emergencies and recompression chambers.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
