What’s inside the guide

Malta Diving Atlas

In the north of Malta lies the Ċirkewwa Marine Park with the Rock Arch, Susie's Pool and the Rożi and P29 wrecks. No boat is allowed to stop at the wrecks. Um El Faroud on the south coast near Wied iż-Żurrieq can be reached from the shore or by boat. For the trip to the dive sites, you pick up the rental car at the airport in Luqa, and you drive on the left. The Ċirkewwa car ferry takes about 25 minutes to Mġarr on Gozo and runs daily, including at night. On Gozo, the Blue Hole at Dwejra is a shore dive, while before Comino you dive from the boat, around Lantern Point and the P31 wreck.

The guide is written for divers who drive to the dive sites themselves or dive through a dive centre. Each profile lists the shore entry with parking, and on the compass rose you can see which wind conditions make the site unsuitable. Sample weeks with Plan B combine the sites into dive days. Above water, accommodation near the dive sites, restaurants and excursions will help you, each location with a map link. Finally, there is information on getting there, travel information and the chapter on emergencies and recompression chambers.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print at home as a booklet.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.

Researched and compiled by a divemaster.
