Diving bases and accommodations in the Bahamas

Tiger Beach is a shallow sandbank off the West End of Grand Bahama. You can get there by safari boat from Freeport or, during the season, by day boat from the Old Bahama Bay Marina. In addition to tiger sharks, lemon sharks and Caribbean reef sharks can be seen there. In Bimini, the dive base is located at the Bimini Big Game Club in Alice Town. From November to April, it runs trips to see great hammerhead sharks, and all year round, it offers snorkeling with wild dolphins. Since 2011, sharks in the Bahamas have been fully protected; none may be caught or harmed.

This booklet lets you choose a dive base and accommodation together. It compares the dive bases and the guesthouses, showing which base and house reef belong to which guesthouse and how far the walk to the boat is. For each accommodation, it indicates whether there is space to rinse and dry your equipment and whether an early breakfast is available. For non-diving days, the booklet lists restaurants and excursions, each with a link to its location on the map.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
