Plan a diving holiday in Phuket and the Andaman Sea

In Phuket, day-trip dive boats depart from Chalong Pier for the islands of Racha Yai and Racha Noi in the south, and for Shark Point, the King Cruiser wreck, and Phi Phi in the east. These destinations are visited all year round. You can reach the Similan Islands and Koh Bon from Khao Lak by speedboat from Thap Lamu Pier or on a liveaboard dive trip, which usually goes as far as Richelieu Rock near the Surin Islands. Both national parks are closed from mid-May to mid-October. Further south lie Hin Daeng and Hin Muang in Mu Ko Lanta National Park, which can be reached by liveaboard from Phuket.

This booklet helps you plan your week. The base’s weekly schedule shows how boat trips and house reef dives are spread across the days, with a plan B if the boat cannot sail due to the weather. The last day before your return flight is kept dive-free. The monthly travel guide lists water and air temperatures, wind, visibility, crowds, and special features, so you can choose your dates before booking your flight and accommodation.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
