What’s inside the guide

Visayas Diving Atlas

In the Visayas, you dive from a base, usually from a bangka, the wooden boat with bamboo outriggers. Before Malapascua, it leaves early in the morning for the fox sharks at Monad Shoal and Kimud Shoal off Leyte, where most switched in September 2022. In Moalboal, you reach the sardine swarm from the shore off Panagsama Beach and Pescador Island by boat. Before Dauin on Negros, you dive from the beach over sand and silt, and from there the bangka goes to Apo Island, where the bases see sea turtles on most dives. From Alona Beach on Panglao, the bases go to Balicasag and Pamilacan.

Here you dive from a base, with the day boat or at the house reef. Instead of entry and parking, each portrait mentions the port and the boat ride time. In the weekly schedule of a base, you see how a dive week works. In the accommodations, the band compares which base and which house reef belong to a house. Restaurants and excursions for non-diving days are in the band with a map link, plus the transfer from the airport and the chapter on emergency and hyperbaric chamber.

You get a PDF in A5 format, which you can read on your phone or tablet on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.

Questions about the booklet “Visayas Diving Atlas”

Was steht im Tauchatlas Visayas?
