What’s inside the guide

Saudi Arabia Diving Atlas

On the Saudi coast of the Red Sea, Yanbu and Jeddah are the two diving centres. Off Yanbu lies the Seven Sisters reef group, whose coral walls are known for hammerhead sharks. Southwest of Jeddah lies Abu Tair Island with the wreck of the Greek Stavronisos, also known as the Cable Wreck because of the cables on the seabed. The Al-Haddad Scuba base in Obhur, north of the city, takes a boat out daily and decides the dive site the day before, depending on the weather. Diving takes place in the Red Sea all year round.

Here you dive from a base, on a day boat, or at the house reef. Instead of entry and parking, each profile mentions the port and the boat ride. On a base's weekly schedule, you can see how a diving week is organised. In the accommodation section, the band compares which base and house reef belong to which accommodation. Restaurants and excursions for non-diving days are listed with a map link, as well as airport transfers and the chapter on emergencies and hyperbaric chambers.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
