Diving Atlas Perth and the West Coast
From Fremantle, the Blue Destiny, Perth Scuba's boat, takes divers to Rottnest Island, with the entrance fee for the island's waters included in the price. Around the island lie reefs with caves and swim-throughs, and you can explore the wrecks of the Macedon and the Denton Holme in a single dive. In Coogee, you walk from the beach to the wreck of the Omeo and along an underwater trail with an artificial reef. Far to the north off Exmouth lies the Ningaloo Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage site. There, Dive Ningaloo takes you to Lighthouse Bay and the west side in Cape Range National Park, where you can swim with whale sharks on snorkeling tours run by licensed operators.
Here you dive from a dive base, on a day boat, or at a house reef. Instead of entry and parking, each profile lists the harbor and the boat's travel time. The weekly schedule of a dive base shows you how a dive week is organized. In the accommodation section, the band compares which dive base and house reef belong to which property. Restaurants and excursions for non-diving days are listed with a map link in the band, along with airport transfers and the chapter on emergencies and recompression chambers.
You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print at home as a booklet.
