Dive sites in Fiji

The Bligh Water separates Viti Levu and Vanua Levu; in its Vatu-i-Ra channel lie barrier reefs and the seamounts E-6 and Mount Mutiny. Ra Divers has been taking people to these sites from the Volivoli Beach Resort in Ra Province since 1990. The safari boat Nai'a departs from Lautoka on Saturdays and connects the Bligh Water with Namena, Wakaya, and Gau in the Koro Sea. In the Beqa Passage off the south coast of Viti Levu lies Shark Reef, Fiji's first marine national park since 2014. From there, Beqa Adventure Divers runs night dives with bull sharks from Pacific Harbour, while the Beqa Lagoon Resort has its own base on Beqa Island.

This booklet is for your days in the water. At the beginning, a map shows all the featured sites. Each feature lists the port from which the boat departs, along with the travel time, or the house reef where you board from the shore. A table at the end of the chapter lists the remaining dive sites. What conditions and winds to expect throughout the year and which regulations apply are explained in the chapter Diving in Fiji. Typical species are shown with an actual photograph and their season.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
