Diving bases and accommodations on Mindanao
On Camiguin, a volcanic island off the northern coast of Mindanao, the dive boat of a dive center located directly opposite White Island sets off from the resort. The journey to White Island, Old Vulcano and the Sunken Cemetery is short, while Mantigue Island is a day trip away. The regional tourism board calls Samal in the Gulf of Davao its most important diving destination, home to the Pearl Farm Wrecks, two Japanese ships from World War II. Siargao in the northeast has been protected along with the surrounding islands and sea since 1996. From General Luna, a dive center takes you out by boat, also to the Blue Cathedral cave on the Pacific side, which is open only to experienced divers.
This booklet lets you choose a dive center and accommodation together. It compares the dive centers and the houses accordingly, showing which dive center and house reef belong to which house and how far the walk to the boat is. For each accommodation, it states whether there is space to rinse and dry your equipment and if an early breakfast is available. For non-diving days, the booklet lists restaurants and excursions, each with a map link.
You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.
