Dive bases and accommodation on Koh Tao and Koh Samui
On Koh Tao, you take a dive center’s day boat out, with many centers offering two dives twice a day. At Sairee Beach, there is no pier in front of the dive centers. The large boats moor off the beach, and a longtail boat will take you across; in Mae Haad, where the ferries dock, several dive centers are located just a few minutes from the pier. To the northwest of the island lies Chumphon Pinnacle, while the wreck of the HTMS Sattakut, a decommissioned Royal Thai Navy landing craft, is off the west coast. Dive centers from both Koh Tao and Koh Phangan, as well as from Koh Samui, go to Sail Rock in the open water between Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. From Koh Samui, you can also visit Ang Thong National Park, an archipelago of 42 small islands.
This booklet lets you choose a dive center and accommodation together. It compares the dive centers and the guesthouses next to them, indicating which center and house reef belong to which guesthouse and how far the walk to the boat is. For each accommodation, it states whether there is space to rinse and dry your equipment and whether an early breakfast is available. For non-diving days, the booklet lists restaurants and excursions, with a map link for each location.
You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print out as a booklet at home.
