Travel to Fiji and travel information

The Bligh Water separates Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, and in its Vatu-i-Ra channel lie the Barrier Reef and the seamounts E-6 and Mount Mutiny. Ra Divers has been taking people to these sites since 1990 from the Volivoli Beach Resort in Ra Province. The safari boat Nai'a departs from Lautoka on Saturdays and connects the Bligh Water with Namena, Wakaya, and Gau in the Koro Sea. In the Beqa Passage off the south coast of Viti Levu lies Shark Reef, Fiji's first marine national park since 2014. Beqa Adventure Divers runs deep dives with bull sharks from Pacific Harbour there, while the Beqa Lagoon Resort has its own base on Beqa Island.

This booklet is for traveling to Fiji and getting around locally. It lists flights from German-speaking countries, the airlines' rules for scuba diving gear, and transfers from the airport to your accommodation or base. In the travel information, you will find sections on documents and insurance, health, equipment, packing lists, money, and phone numbers. The country and its people section explains history and local customs, and how to pronounce the most important place names.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while traveling and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
