Planning a diving holiday in Saudi Arabia

On the Saudi coast of the Red Sea, Yanbu and Jeddah are the two diving centres. Off Yanbu lies the Seven Sisters reef group, whose coral walls the tourism authority calls hammerhead sharks. Southwest of Jeddah lies Abu Tair Island with the wreck of the Greek Stavronisos, also called Cable Wreck because of the cables on the seabed. The Al-Haddad Scuba base in Obhur in the north of the city goes out by boat every day and decides the site the day before according to the weather. Diving takes place in the Red Sea all year round.

With this booklet you plan the week. On a base's weekly plan you can see how boat trips and dives at the house reef are distributed over the days, with a plan B if the boat does not go out because of the weather. The last day before the return flight remains dive-free. The travel time by month states water and air temperature, wind, visibility, crowds and special features, so that you can set the date before you book the flight and accommodation.

You get a PDF in A5 format, which you can read on your mobile phone or tablet on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.

Questions about the booklet “Planning a diving holiday in Saudi Arabia”

Was steht im Heft Tauchurlaub in Saudi-Arabien planen?
