Scuba diving safaris in Fiji

The Bligh Water separates Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. In its Vatu-i-Ra channel lie barrier reefs and the E-6 seamounts and Mount Mutiny. Ra Divers has been taking divers to these sites since 1990 from the Volivoli Beach Resort in Ra Province. The safari boat Nai'a departs from Lautoka on Saturdays and connects the Bligh Water with Namena, Wakaya, and Gau in the Koro Sea. In the Beqa Passage off the south coast of Viti Levu lies Shark Reef, Fiji's first marine national park since 2014. From there, Beqa Adventure Divers runs deep dives with bull sharks from Pacific Harbour, while the Beqa Lagoon Resort has its own base on Beqa Island.

This booklet is for the days spent on the safari boat. It compares the routes, lists boats and embarkation ports, and shows which route runs in which months. Along a route, the dive sites are listed in the order the boat visits them. Typical species are shown with an actual photo and their season. If you combine a safari with days at a base, you can also take the dive site booklet with you.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.

Questions about the booklet “Scuba diving safaris in Fiji”
