What’s inside the guide

Hurghada Diving Atlas

In Hurghada, El Gouna and Safaga, you dive from a base, and the destination of the day boat is decided by the captain and guides in the morning depending on the wind and currents. From Hurghada, it goes to the Giftun Islands, Abu Ramada, El Fanadir and Carless Reef. To the wrecks of Abu Nuhas in the Strait of Gubal, the bases from Hurghada offer a long special trip, from El Gouna also by speedboat. In Makadi Bay, Soma Bay and Safaga, you walk down the pier to the house reef; in El Gouna, no hotel has one. You can only reach the Brothers Islands by safari boat, which departs from Hurghada or Port Ghalib.

Here you dive from a base, by day boat or at the house reef. Instead of entry point and parking, each profile lists the harbour and the boat ride time. In the weekly schedule of a base, you can see how a diving week is organised. In the accommodation section, the band compares which base and which house reef belong to a particular hotel. Restaurants and excursions for non-diving days are listed with a map link, as well as the airport transfer and the chapter on emergencies and hyperbaric chambers. Where you can only reach dive sites by safari boat, the band compares routes, boats and departure harbours.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your mobile phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.

Questions about the booklet “Hurghada Diving Atlas”

Was steht im Tauchatlas Hurghada?
