Dive sites in Coron and El Nido

In Coron Bay, US Navy aircraft sank Japanese ships on September 24, 1944, including the Irako, the Akitsushima, and the Olympia Maru. Pirates Diving Center in Coron goes out daily, usually to two wrecks and then to a reef or Barracuda Lake on Coron Island. Corto Divers offers the Lusong Gunboat and the Olympia Maru to divers with an Open Water certification, while the Okikawa Maru and the Akitsushima require an Advanced certification. El Nido is located at the northwestern tip of Palawan in Bacuit Bay, a marine protected area where the bases' boats travel to the islands of Cadlao, Helicopter, and Miniloc.

This booklet is for your days in the water. At the beginning, a map shows all the dive sites. Each dive site lists the port from which the boat departs, along with the travel time, or the house reef where you enter the water from the shore. A table at the end of the chapter lists the remaining dive sites. What conditions and winds to expect throughout the year and which regulations apply are covered in the chapter Diving in Coron and El Nido. Typical species are shown with an actual photo and their season.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
