Diving bases and accommodation on the Cape Verde Islands

In Cape Verde, you dive off Sal and Boa Vista on a dive centre’s boat. On Sal, the centres depart from Santa Maria for reefs with overhangs, two wrecks that are now artificial reefs, and the caves off Palmeira and Murdeira. The Blue Eye of Buracona, a cave on the northwest coast, is famous. Off Sal Rei on Boa Vista, the boats depart from Estoril Beach for the Taliarte and John M. wrecks and sites such as Shark Point. The northeast trade winds blow all year round, so the centres often expect currents and swell.

This booklet lets you choose a dive centre and accommodation together. It compares the dive centres and the accommodation, showing which centre and house reef belong to which property and how far the walk to the boat is. For each property, it states whether there is space to rinse and dry your equipment and whether an early breakfast is available. For non-diving days, the booklet lists restaurants and excursions, with a map link for each location.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Depths, currents and entries change. The guide does not replace a briefing on site or your training.
