Dive bases and accommodations on Cozumel and in the cenotes
The reefs off the west coast of Cozumel are a national park, and there you can only dive with a licensed guide. In the mornings, the day boats set off, the group jumps into the water together and drifts with the current, which usually flows north along the west coast; the boat follows on the surface. In the cenotes on the mainland opposite, a guide who is a diving instructor and cave diver leads you along a permanently fixed line through the daylight zone. There are no direct flights to Cozumel from German-speaking countries, and passenger ferries go to the island from Playa del Carmen.
With this booklet, you choose a dive base and accommodation together. It compares the dive bases and the houses accordingly, which base and which house reef belong to a house, and how far the walk to the boat is. For each accommodation, it states whether there is space to rinse and dry the equipment and an early breakfast. For non-diving days, the booklet lists restaurants and excursions, each place with a map link.
You get a PDF in A5 format, which you can read on your phone or tablet on the go and print at home as a booklet.
