Sleeping and Eating on Lanzarote

At Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen, you enter the water from the sandy beach or the small El Muellito pier, with two lava tongues protecting the shallow waters of the bay. The boat of a dive centre takes you to the Museo Atlántico and its sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor, just five minutes away from the Marina Rubicón in Playa Blanca. The Marine Reserve in the north encompasses the coast and the islands around La Graciosa, where diving is only permitted with prior authorisation. At César Manrique Airport, nine car rental companies have desks. The ferry to La Graciosa departs from Órzola and takes 25 to 30 minutes.

This booklet is for the time between dives. It helps you choose a dive centre and describes the areas around it, including nearby entry points. For each accommodation, it indicates whether there is parking, space to rinse and dry your equipment, and an early breakfast. Restaurants and snack bars near the entry points are also included, as well as excursions for breaks and the non-diving day before your return flight, each with a link to a map.

You will receive an A5-format PDF that you can read on your phone or tablet while on the go and print as a booklet at home.

Wo kann ich auf Lanzarote einen Tauchschein machen?

Den Tauchkurs für deinen Tauchschein machst du auf Lanzarote bei einer Tauchbasis, die nach SSI oder PADI ausbildet, etwa bei Manta, Dive College oder Native. Vor dem ersten Tauchgang will die Basis den amtlichen Gesundheitsfragebogen und den Nachweis einer Tauchversicherung sehen. Jede Tauchbasis auf den Kanaren braucht eine Genehmigung der Regierung, die sichtbar in der Basis hängen muss.

Als Taucher wohnst du auf Lanzarote nahe den Einstiegen in Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca oder Costa Teguise, von dort sind es 3 bis 4 Minuten zur Playa Chica, Marina Rubicón oder Playa del Jablillo. Mehrere Basen holen dich kostenlos am Hotel ab, etwa Safari in Puerto del Carmen, Dive College in Playa Blanca und Daivoon in Costa Teguise.
