En Pattaya, tomas un barco de día con una base de buceo para visitar las islas frente a la costa. Koh Larn, Koh Sak y Koh Khrok están cerca y protegidas, y Seafari lleva allí a principiantes y a quienes hacen cursos de buceo. Más lejos se encuentra el HTMS Khram, cerca de Koh Phai, el primer barco que la Armada hundió frente a Pattaya para crear un arrecife artificial. En Samae San, al sur de Pattaya, buceas en aguas supervisadas por la Armada y, desde 2024, también en dos barcos patrulleros frente a Koh Chuang. En Koh Chang, los barcos parten desde Bang Bao hacia el HTMS Chang y el parque nacional de Koh Rang. Koh Mak Divers también hace salidas desde Koh Mak hasta allí.

En el programa semanal de una base puedes ver cómo se distribuyen las salidas y las inmersiones en el arrecife local a lo largo de los días, con un plan B por si el barco no sale debido al clima. El último día antes del vuelo de regreso no se bucea. La sección de la época del año indica la temperatura del agua y del aire, el viento, la visibilidad, la afluencia de gente y las particularidades, para que puedas fijar la fecha antes de reservar el vuelo y el alojamiento.

Auf Koh Chang ist die beste Zeit zum Tauchen nach BB Divers von Oktober bis Mai, dann ist die See ruhig und alle Plätze sind erreichbar. Von Juni bis September taucht die Basis weiter, bei Wellen aber vor allem um Koh Rang. Bangkok Airways nennt für Trat und die Inseln November bis April trocken, Mai bis Oktober Regenzeit.

Kann man im November in Pattaya tauchen?

Ja, im November tauchst du in Pattaya, und für die Wracks beginnt nach Seafari dann die Zeit mit ruhiger See und der besten Sicht, die bis März reicht. Die nahen Inseln erreichst du ohnehin das ganze Jahr. Auf Koh Chang fällt der November in die Hauptsaison, die BB Divers von November bis Mai nennt.

Kann man im Juli in Pattaya tauchen?

Ja, auch im Juli tauchst du in Pattaya, denn Seafari taucht dort das ganze Jahr, auch in der Regenzeit. Nach starkem Regen sind manche Plätze schwerer zu erreichen, die nahen Inseln Koh Larn, Koh Sak und Koh Khrok liegen aber geschützt. Die Regenzeit beginnt mit dem Südwestmonsun meist Mitte Mai.
