En Pattaya, tomas un barco de día de una base de buceo para ir a las islas frente a la costa. Koh Larn, Koh Sak y Koh Khrok están cerca y protegidas, y Seafari lleva allí a principiantes y a los cursos de buceo. Más lejos se encuentra el HTMS Khram, cerca de Koh Phai, el primer barco que la Armada hundió frente a Pattaya para crear un arrecife artificial. En Samae San, al sur de Pattaya, buceas en aguas supervisadas por la Armada y, desde 2024, también en dos barcos patrulleros frente a Koh Chuang. En Koh Chang, los barcos salen desde Bang Bao hacia el HTMS Chang y al parque nacional de Koh Rang. Koh Mak Divers también va allí desde Koh Mak.

Auf Koh Chang beginnen Schnuppertauchen und Open-Water-Kurs bei BB Divers ebenfalls mit 10 Jahren, Kinder ab 8 Jahren lernen dort in den PADI-Programmen Bubblemaker und Seal Team im geschützten Rahmen.

Kann ich in Pattaya einen Tauchkurs machen?

Ja, in Pattaya bilden mehrere Basen nach PADI aus, etwa Seafari, nach eigener Angabe 1970 als erste Tauchbasis der Stadt eröffnet, und das Pattaya Dive Centre an der Beach Road. Der Open-Water-Kurs dauert bei Seafari meist 3 Tage, für die Tauchgänge im Meer nennt die Basis die nahen Inseln die erste Wahl.
